The number of multicultural weddings taking place in the UK is on the rise as we become a more diverse nation, with the wedding industry being one market that has recognised the change.

Over 235,000 multicultural and ethnic wedding take place in Britain every year, so it comes as no surprise that there is big business for those offering wedding services.

Being a person of an ethnic background, having grown up or are currently living in the UK gives the perfect opportunity to mix two or sometimes more, very different cultures in what is likely to be the most important day of their lives.

Bridal exhibitions catering for ethnic brides on the increase and they tend to provides information on services, products and vendors for members of the ethnic minority community on all aspects of planning a wedding.

Luxury hotels in Central London are reporting brisk ethnic bridal events with Asian, Arabs and Jewish wedding being the prime clients. An average ethnic wedding can cost up to £60,000 and there are usually 2 parties one at a luxury 5 stars hotel and another at a different venue with each catering in excess of 500 guests.

The multicultural wedding market in the UK is worth in excess of £25 billion with the Asian market is worth £12 billion a year, which is more than twice as much as the traditional UK’s £5.5 billion, and this is a figure that is growing by 25 per cent each year.
